The Host in the Attic by Rohan Quine is a hologram of Oscar Wilde’s The Picture of Dorian Gray, digitised and reframed in cinematic style, set in London’s Docklands in a few years’ time. Brilliant software engineer Rik and executive Jaymi work at digital agencies in London (surely unaware that their fates are destined to echo those of Basil and Dorian, respectively the painter and the subject of Wilde´s novel). Rik uses Jaymi’s appearance as the model or ´´skin” for a cutting-edge interactive hologram that navigates the Web in enhanced ways, tailored to every user. The dissolute bigwig ´´Champagne” Marc makes this into a business reality, and through his cynical eloquence electrifies Jaymi with the knowledge that Jaymi will hereby become the face of the Web. Throughout the film-shoot of Jaymi for the making of the skin, these honeyed words of Marc (like those of Wilde’s Lord Henry to Dorian during the portrait’s creation) light powerful fires of vanity and hubris behind Jaymi’s eyes. As this holographic Web-guide’s hold over global information grows to a near monopoly, Jaymi is lionised, finding no door closed. But he yearns for still more: to see what the hologram itself can see online. So by trickery he succeeds in getting hold of a unique copy of the prototype hologram, with all regular filters removed. In private files online he thereby discovers a not-yet-published novel that will come to be called The Imagination Thief, by Alaia Danielle, with whom he has an intense romance (echoing Wilde’s actress Sibyl Vane with Dorian). But when Jaymi brutally dumps her, triggering her suicide, he is shocked to observe, on the same evening, that the face on his private prototype hologram has become crueller. Fascinated, he realises its appearance is changing in accordance with his own behaviour - and he hides it in his attic. For years he uses his unique online access 1. Language: English. What does the Bible really tell us about the heavenly host?Everyone knows that angels have wings, usually carry harps, and that each of us has our own personal guardian angel, right? We all have some preconceptions about angels from movies, television shows, and other media, but you might be surprised to know that a lot of those notions aren´t based on anything from the Bible. If you read Luke 1:26–38 and imagine the angel Gabriel standing before Mary with neatly folded white wings, you´re not getting that picture from anything the Bible itself says. What the Bible really says about angels is overlooked or filtered through popular myths. This book was written to help change that. It´s a book about the loyal members of God´s heavenly host, and while most people associate them with the word ´´angel,´´ that´s just one of many terms the Bible uses for supernatural beings. In The Unseen Realm, Michael Heiser opened the eyes of thousands to seeing the Bible through the supernatural worldview of the ancient world it was written in. In his latest book, Angels, Dr. Heiser reveals what the Bible really says about God´s supernatural servants. Heiser focuses on loyal, holy heavenly beings because the Bible has a lot more to say about them than most people suspect. Most people presume all there is to know about angels is what has been passed on in Christian tradition, but in reality, that tradition is quite incomplete and often inaccurate.Angels is not guided by traditions, stories, speculations, or myths about angels. Heiser´s study is grounded in the terms the Bible itself uses to describe members of God´s heavenly host; he examines the terms in their biblical context while drawing on insights from the wider context of the ancient Near Eastern world. The Bible´s view on heavenly beings begins with Old Testament terms but then moves into literature from the Second Temple period? Sound Pictures traces the story of the Beatles´ breathtaking artistic trajectory after reaching the creative heights of Rubber Soul. As the bandmates engage in brash experimentation both inside and outside the studio, Martin toils along with manager Brian Epstein to consolidate the Beatles´ fame in the face of growing sociocultural pressures, including the crisis associated with the ´´Beatles are more popular than Jesus´´ scandal. Meanwhile, he also struggles to make his way as an independent producer in the highly competitive world of mid-1960s rock ´n´ roll. As Martin and the Beatles create one landmark album after another, including such masterworks as Revolver, Sgt. Pepper´s Lonely Hearts Club Band, The Beatles (The White Album), and Abbey Road, the internal stakes and interpersonal challenges become ever greater. During his post-Beatles years, Martin attempts to discover new vistas of sound recording with a host of acts, including Jeff Beck, America, Cheap Trick, Paul McCartney, and Elton John, his creative breakthroughs followed by unprecedented commercial success. Eventually, though, all roads bring Martin back to the Beatles, as the group seeks out new ways to memorialize their achievement under the supervision of the man who has come to be known as Sir George. 1. If you´re a life-long fan of this tale, than I can´t advise you enough to listen to this book, because it will change your entire outlook of this film! Have you ever considered that this film is shown as an annual ritual during the pagan sacrifice period known as Samhain? Prepare to take a journey into the hidden realm of the occult as your host, Isaac Weishaupt, explores the vast conspiracy that is cleverly hidden in this beloved cult classic of The Rocky Horror Picture Show. The annual rituals on the pagan holiday of Samhain draw its viewers into a world of sex magick and Luciferian doctrine through the Time Warp dance and virgin sacrifices. Learn how Brad, Janet, Riff Raff, and Frank N Furter all play a part in this age-old belief in the perfected form of mankind. Frank N Furter is the ´´sweet transvestite´´ that seeks to draw in the Prometheus in a hidden play on Luciferian doctrine that many aren´t able to see. Aleister Crowley´s Aeon of Horus and channeling of the alien LAM are a bit too close to home in this tale of pansexual aliens from Transsexual Transylvania. Vampires of the Qlippoth are attempting to cross the Da´ath side of the life force while conducting the Time Warp Dionysian ritual. Why do we see the lightning bolt so often in the film? Could it be the fallen angel of Lucifer ´´falling like lightning´´ from the heavens? The Lux Radio Theatre was one of the most prestigious and longest running shows from Radio´s Golden Age. It featured the greatest stars in Hollywood appearing in hour-long radio adaptations of their biggest motion pictures. Cecil B. DeMille was the host (from 1936-1945) for a lavish production of what was to become a veritable checklist of many of Hollywood´s best films from the mid -1930s through the mid -1950s. The stars of the movie usually appeared in their audio counterparts, although sometimes contracts or schedules meant that another actor took the part. The productions were broadcast live, with a full orchestra, in front of a large studio audience. Sponsored by Lever Brothers, the makers of Lux Soap, The Lux Radio Theatre came to radio in 1934 and lasted until 1955 for a total of 926 hour-long broadcasts.
